Magical Reunion at the Generalife Gardens
The National Dance Award 2001, Eva Yerbabuena, returns to the Granada Festival to pay tribute to her city. Incidentally born in Frankfurt, where her parents had emigrated, the Granada artist is already one of the great dames of dance and has been with her company for more than a quarter of a century. In her own words, "there is nothing more contemporary than flamenco." And along these lines, this show acquires an eminent parallel character with the choreographies that her admired Pina Bausch performed in tribute to different European cities, such as Palermo or Madrid. What is certain is that Yerbabuena will enchant again with her dance assimilated between tradition and new expressive forms, on the Generalife stage and with the sobriety that imprints her character.
